How do you differentiate DEPENDENCE , INDEPENDENCE , and INTERDEPENDENCE .

From a strictly semantic point of view, independency is when one can function entirely alone, i.e., without outside help, whereas dependency is when one cannot function at all Interdependency is where two parties depend on one another: for example, you have a pen and I have paper: together we can write something. In that situation we are interdependent, as on our own we can't function.
